Jack and Jill of America, Incorporated, is a membership organization of mothers with children ages 2 – 19, dedicated to nurturing future African American leaders by strengthening children through leadership development, volunteer service, philanthropic giving and civic duty.

Greetings from Our President

Tuanda Ward-Holmes

As I reflect on our organization’s guiding principles, I am awed by both the simplicity and power embodied in each statement:

– Commit to Serving a Higher Purpose
– Commit to Being Knowledgeable
– Commit to Being Accountable
– Commit to Keeping Children First
– Commit to Being Strategic
– Commit to Being Kind

As we enter the 2019-2020 program year, I want to highlight the principle to “Commit to Keeping the Children First”. When we place and keep the children at the very center of all of our thoughts, plans, actions and efforts, everyone wins.
Our communities win as we continue to mobilize the sum total of our creative, intellectual, social and financial resource toward the strengthening of our communities with focused and high impact service that promises transformational benefits for years to come. And most importantly, our children win as their leadership potential is fully realized in a safe, empowering and loving community of families committed to their success.
It is an honor to continue serving as President of the North Oakland/Macomb Chapter. In NOM fashion, we will move forward with passion, purpose, dedication and fully embrace the spirit of our national theme, “The Power to Make a Difference – We can do More”.

Yours in Jack and Jill,
Tuanda Ward-Holmes
North Oakland/Macomb Chapter President
